B.L.T.A.

Need I say anything more???

For those of you who for some reason (that I cannot fathom) do not know what this is or how to make it, it is simply several strips of bacon, lettuce, tomato AND avocado piled onto toasted bread (I prefer sourdough) with a little mayonnaise. It makes for one of the BEST sandwiches. I crave it from time to time. Totally filling and more than satisfying!

This is definitely one of my favorite sandwiches! I was wondering if you had a favorite brand of bacon that you liked to use.

The hubs loves BLTs, but I'm not a huge fan of bacon or mayo

Judy- Extra trip to the store just for avocados? Sounds like me BEVORE kids!! Now- no way!

Peter- I have no doubt you'll enjoy it and somehow make it even better and more gourmet than mine!

Michelle- Welcome. I usually use Oscar Meyer bacon. I don't want bacon that is too too smoky or maple flavored for most uses. Although sometimes smoky has it's place.

Kate- You sound like my sister. The funny thing is she still loves ranch and other sauces that incorporate mayo!

Lisa- I agree.

Oh boy! Looks fab! I haven't had one of these in years. I forgot how much I love them! I just bought some gorgeous heirloom tomatoes that would so great in a B.L.T.A

These look so good! I love BLTs in the States, but never think of eating them here. The avocado is a great touch...

Robin- Heirlooms would be perfect!

Betty- You should bring a little US-BLT(A) to your French lifestyle. It will remind you of home.

Peter- Looking forward to the post.

Mamageek- Awww! Thanks!

Kristen- Thank you!

I love avacado on a BLT. That's a great looking sandwich!

TasteMemory- Do have one. I am sure you will enjoy!

Amy- Sourdough or French bread are nearly the only kind I ever buy (unless it's just for the kids lunch).

Lisa- Welcome!
