I have news!

Okay. I am going to make this quick. I feel badly that I haven't had time to visit blogs or post on my own. This is very commonly my busiest time of year. I have custom Holiday cards to design and get to the printer so they can be sent out in time. Today I am doing a holiday boutique with a few other women who will also be selling their wares. So I have been busy packing up cards and preparing display boards along with all the designing and print proofing. Pile kids and a house on top of that... Well you get the picture.

Oh yes... my news! I am so excited. NOOOOOO! I didn't win the lottery (I WISH). I am not expecting or anything. But yesterday at Trader Joes I found it! Burrata!!! I have been looking each and every time I go since falling in love with the cheese several months ago. And it is HERE! At least in my neck of the woods. Hooray for TJ's!

(Sing to the tune of "Tomorrow" from Annie)
Burrata. Burrata. I love you Burrata. You're only a TJ away!

So tonight after standing on my feet all day trying to peddle my stationery and HOPEFULLY making a little money, (please send your heartiest hopes for me.. I need it desperately right now), I will be sitting down to the lovely white gift of sheer creamy heaven paired with tomatoes, basil and a glass of red!

I hope to be cooking and blogging more soon. Hope your holiday season is faring well. Cheers.

Yay! I am posting about the Burrata I found in The North End tomorrow! I love Burrata and so glad you got me turned on to this cheese. I must go to TJ's and hope they have it here too!

Finding burrata is almost as exciting as being pregnant. :) I just finished reading Robin Sue's post. She found the authentic stuff in Boston. I'll keep my eye out for it (but am unlikely to find it here) Your dinner looks sooooo wonderful. Crusty bread, a good olive oil and balsamic dipping sauce, a great tomato (finding that must have been a feat too!) and artisan olives! Girl, you are spoiled!

Hi NIcole - oh, thanks for the info, I usually buy burrata at Whole Foods and Bristol Farms, glad to know it is now at TJs - more convenient, and probably less expensive.

Best wishes on your business venture.

Now here's the REAL question, is it real burrata stuffed with ricotta, or is it the fake stuff Whole Foods has with marscapone inside?

Robin Sue- I will have to check out your post about Burrata! I am so behind in my blogging... :-(

Joie de vivre- I think that Burrata is becoming easier now I think. People are getting wind of it. Tomatoes... YES that is hard. The only place to find good ones is at a farmers market.

Lori Lynn- Yes, the TJ cheese is a lot cheaper but it didn't seem to taste quite as good. But it was still yummy.

Kate- I don't really know what the most authentic kind is or if I've had it. My friend in Italy didn't mention marscapone or ricatta inside. But I think that the version from Whole Foods was slightly better than TJ's.

Laura- Thank you! and to you as well!

Jaime- If you ever see it, grab some and try it. It is so good.

Robin Sue- Merry Christmas to you as well!!!

Nate-n-Annie- Thank you so much for visiting my blog. Do come back again soon. I hope to be posting more often. I am looking forward to checking out your blog as well.

I found the burrata at a couple different stores in Orange County, CA.

We are never full- NOPE... Burrata is no secret now! Totally the best and I hope to do some posts in the next day or two. If I don't fall asleep. It has just been crazy.
